from Blantyre, we hope that you are all well!
Since our last update we carved some time out of our
normal schedule in Blantyre and took the 5 hour trip north to the capital city,
Lilongwe, so that we could have a long overdue catch up with the wonderful
Dalitso Trust Team.
We first met this amazing team 8 years ago & visited
them annually prior to moving here. We really love these special people, and
they have graciously allowed us to call their ministry our Malawi home village,
and it always does feel like going home there in Malawi.
We had a wonderful time with them, initially hearing what
they had been up to since we had last seen them. Wow, they have been through a
challenging season but are seeing amazing pursuits for the Kingdom of God. They
are continuing with the Kingdom Expansion which once a month on their day off
they go out into the communities and pray for the sick to be healed, salvations
and miracles and they are seeing it!! We heard exciting testimonies of
salvations, healings including people speaking for the first time, and ears
opened, and they said totally matter of factly they were just waiting to have
the opportunity to raise the dead! We reflected with them, when we first met
them, would they have foreseen themselves doing this 8 years later? They have
grown SO much and are such an example of what can be accomplished for the
Kingdom in rural Malawi.
They are also seeing amazing growth both in numbers but
also maturity of their newly planted Malingunde Vineyard Church, it was a
privilege to hear about how they are sowing Kingdom culture in a culture that
is very opposite to Kingdom culture.
We both led a time of teaching with the team, Mark taught
on Identity and Laura taught on Jesus coming to reveal the Father & the
Father heart of God.
As always we had a time of prayer ministry but this time
made a point of not leading in any way, we just watched and let the team do all
of the ministry. The lady being prayed for was suffering from asthma and during
the prayer time her symptoms fully left her!
SOME OF THE TEACHING NOTES FROM OUR TEACHING |
We also had the privilege of being able to serve the
couple who lead Dalitso Trust through their first Sozo session.
Blantyre
We continue to serve in Blantyre through church
leadership, mentoring, Encounter evenings, and Sozos. We’ve had some great
sessions with our rural Pastors we’re training recently focusing on the subject
or Grace vs. Works. There is very much a mentality within the rural communities
I must do X, Y & Z to guarantee salvation. We were able to teach against this
lie that is prevalent about the truth that our salvation was won for us
entirely by Jesus at the Cross, we could see the revelation dawn on the pastors
face’s and as always we encouraged they share this message with their congregations.
We’d really appreciate prayers into these final 6 weeks
before our visit to England. We’re already in the throes of the logistics of
arranging our schedule, with always too much to do in too little a time, alongside
carrying on our normal ministry and preparing resources for our absence. However
we are very excited about our trip home, it will have been a year, and we’re
ready for our fill of Fish & Chips and all of the other wonderful English
delicacies!
