Season’s greetings from Malawi!
If we’re honest with you
it doesn’t feel very Christmassy here in Malawi, the country has a very
different approach to the Christmas season than the UK, we’ve looked on enviously
at your beautiful snowy pictures!
We really appreciate you taking time out to
read our updates so we’ll keep this Christmas update more succinct as we know this is a busy time of the year!
Pastors
Training
We have the privilege of training two different groups of
pastors on a weekly basis. At the Thucila Hope Centre we have been meeting with
the pastors there for a year now, and we wanted to celebrate and honour their commitment
to the training. We feel in this second half of the year that we are seeing
breakthrough and fruit from the training which is wonderful!
We celebrated with them last week by presenting them with
an attendance certificate and we made a big fuss over them, it was a wonderful time
of joy & celebration, & they even presented us with a gift of thanks, a
pineapple each, this meant a lot to us as the pastors know that fresh Malawian
pineapple is our favourite fruit and it most likely would have been a financial
sacrifice for them to have bought these for us. We look forward to our second
year of training with them & seeing greater transformation in their lives!
Sozo
We continue
to see wonderful transformations in front of our eyes during the sessions; here
is a recent testimony from a first time Sozo session:
“I
am so thankful for the Sozo session. God is so faithful and so gentle! He led me
to instances that I was unaware of, but caused deep pain and with His help
could forgive and release, and so His healing comfort could enter and bring
restoration and relief. It was as if I was operated on, but in a gentle and
loving way. And afterwards I experienced so much Joy, as if a heavy burden has
been lifted off my shoulders. He is truly faithful to restore and give back
what the enemy has stolen, and to enter into the fullness of Life that He
gives.
It
was also super special to see revelations of how He sees me! I give all praise
and glory to God for giving me this opportunity and allowing freedom, joy and
contentment to start taking root in my heart. I know this is a continuous walk
in the Truth of the Spirit to experience liberty in all areas of my life. A
heart and mind change was enlightened, but it needs to be deeply engraved for
complete transformation to continue! Nothing can come close to experiencing
Freedom and Truth in Christ!”
We’d love you to join us as we pray for the pastor we
mentor & disciple on a 1:1 (Jonah). We’ve spent the last few months solely
focusing on the Father heart of God and what it means to be a child of God, and
Jonah is loving the revelation & transformation this is bringing in his
life. A God who is a Father of love and a good father is goes totally against
the cultural perception of what God is like, and our friend wants his fellow
Malawians to gain the revelation that God is a good Father but is coming up
against resistance to them receiving this message, pray that the lies of the
enemy that they are believing will be broken as Jonah continues to share the
wonderful truth with them!
We wish you all a wonderful Christmas time and particularly
want to thank those of you, who over the last year have supported us in varying
ways, it is very much appreciated!
